fwiw,
I have used a ton of it in the past, never a problem.

I also put in more grease than the stock amount.
I have seen many, many very dry u-joints.
I don't know if grease acually evaporates out of them ..but it seems to me
that the stock rather small amount of gease will somehow barely be there
after say, 7 years.
  Which is why I put in a fair amount extra grease.
my 'normal' CV joint grease is 'black slimey' ....Stablube brand moly
sulfide.

" Extreme Pressuer moly-graph" is what they call it. Have used boatloads of
that ..and never a problem.

I also think the inner CV's run hotter and are more prone to getting dry and
wearing more, compared to the outers.
