The PBS show Nature is doing a three-part on Sundays called "Bears of the Last Frontier" and features bearologist Chris Morgan bombing around Alaska on an adventure-rigged motorcycle (KLR650?  Hard to tell) and floatplaning into remote spots.

Previews of the upcoming part 2 ("The Road North") show a couple of quick shots of him inside a vehicle and glimpses of the dash, a headrest and an interior kitchen suggest it's a Vanagon Westy.  Pretty good show so far if you like this stuff, even without VWs.
