RE: Cost of new Class B Campers

About four years ago a close friend of mine was looking for a camper. She is very familiar with out Westfalias having attended a bunch of VW and Westy events with me. Not wanting to take on the burden of keeping a 20+ year old vehicle running (I said she was very familiar with the VW Westy :)) she was looking at van conversions. She had some space considerations (traveled at the time with three cats) so she also looked at smaller RV's. Class B (van conversions) were in the $85k region. But a good 23' Class C with all the bells and whistles was only around $65k!! And she ended up with the RV, part for the additional room and features and part because of the price. Plus she can tow her CRV with it. BTW, she camps with the WetWesties in her SOB (Some Other Brand) on a regular basis, just puts a VW logo on the front grill :)
