  I had the top mounting bolt of my rear shock a little loose for a long
time.  I looked and looked, pushing and prying on stuff under there.  I
found it when I had the wheel off...The top shock mounts at the rear take a
pretty big torque to  tighten properly..at least given my shocks and mounts.
