it's an 87 syncro.
taller R & P is an expensive deal since there are two of them that have to
match on a syncro van. of course .
That could get into some real big bucks.
rather a moot point if not knowing what engine is going to be pushing the
van .
or for what use you want it to be best at.
Many people on here play chess ?
it's super good training about 'strategic order' of going about things.
you wouldn't say ....................... ..
deploy your Bishops out to protect your King if your own defensives are
not set up first..
And for every planned action ..
you have to be totally preparred for whatever outcome that causes ..
There's big cost in not planning well ahead.
it's the same in engine conversions to vanagons.
Especially with syncro's ..those need all the careful planning they can get.
to come out really right in the end.
and ..
if people have not experienced the wrong gear ratios ..
or more importantly ..gear ratio gap ..
like you get where there just is not a comfortable rpm and power and gear at
say 50 to 55 mph ..
one gear is too low, the next too high ..
that sucks , driving a van with that characteristic. Sucks big time. Want
to be careful you don't get something like that changing gearing and gear
ratios.
