I fill mine with nothing but the finest Eastern Oregon spring water using a white potable water tank filling hose. (Or the garden hose from the frost-free spigot in the yard whichever's easier to reach..) I don't drink water. It'll rust your innerds. I just use if for coffee and dishwashing.

Tequila, Loren's Navan and gin, Lisa's vodka, Bev's wine and the occasional sponged beer. Oh yeah, and Joan's 30 proof wine. No water. I hear that fish mate in it. Yuk!
