Hi Jeff,

Take a close look at your front tires and inspect the treads carefully for uneven wear patterns.

I drove a little too long on a set of bad ball joints and tie rod ends and really made a mess of my front Nexen SV-820s this year. About a month after returning from Westies at Watkins I blew out a front tire that (unbeknownst to me) had worn down to the steel cords.

If there is uneven wear, do yourself a favour and rotate the fronts onto the back so as to spread out the damage a bit while you're at BBtB.

I think about the screaming noise my tires made heading into the corners at Watkins Glen and shudder, now that I know how little rubber was actually present at the time...

Happy Trails,
