Great alert Tom, Here's the letter I wrote to the author:

Mr. Welsch, You're recommendation for westfalia.org is to be commended. It was the first place I discovered when I bought my '89 Westy last September. However, you did the reader a bit of a disservice. TheSamba.com is a much larger, more involved and dynamic site for all things VW. Specifically, the Vanagon/Eurovan forum at http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewforum.php?f=20 is very active with a high signal to noise ratio and many Westfalia knowledgeable participants. If they do go ahead with the plan another must have resource is the Vanagon Rescue Squad - a listing of volunteers ready to help throughout the USA. http://www.vanagonauts.com/index.phtml?catid=74 Long live the spirit of adventure!
