I need to pick up some ATF to top off the transmission after I put on the Gowesty external ATF cooler.

I called German Transaxle to find out what kind of fluid they put in the thing when they rebuilt it last fall.

The woman advised me that they would have used "regular" ATF.

I'm not well-versed in these things. What kind of ATF is "regular"? If I go to the auto parts store will there be bottles marked as such, or can someone just point me to a brand name/type to grab?

Many thanks.
