Mr. Squirrel, interesting. I hadn't thought much about zombies in a long time. Interesting that the article does not mention tetradotoxin, from puffer fish. Unlike the other mentioned ways that zombies are formed, this one along with salt deprivation, may be for real, and be a part of the practice of certain Caribbean ritualistic religious practices, notably Voodoo but some others as well.

I first assumed btw that your link was to a spoof page unconnected with CDC. Then I thought it might be the result of a hacking incident. But it seems to be a spoof intended by CDC to promote folks to think about real possible needs for disaster preparedness like hurricanes and earthquakes. Interesting, but I doubt it will have much effect on folks behaviors.
