Subject: Same coolant hose broken
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

So, some of you may remember last year when I got stuck in the Chicago area because one of my coolant hoses broke and, in an attempt to fix it, I broke my thermostat housing. John Hawk came to the rescue and helped me out and we replaced the hose and the housing. Here's a link to the troublesome hose: http://www.van-cafe.com/home/van/page_658_903/cooling_hose___goes_over_the_transmission.html

When it first went out, I figured it was due to an ATF leak that was flinging the ATF up on the hose and gave it a soft spot, where it split. This time, the same hose split, but on the top side of it. Granted, the hose was used and did get some more ATF on it before I fixed the leak(albeit, on the bottom side), but could there be some other weird problem that's causing that hose in particular to fail? I'm about to order a brand new hose and see how it works out.

Thanks!
