Tyvek (the Dupont brand house wrap) is a vapor-permeable material. It's non-woven, non-directional HDPE (spunbonded olefin) and breathes while shedding water. Very flammable, very slippery. I like to use it inside out when wrapping a house, less advertising. :) Gregory Smith '88 Vanagon GL Smith Design Studio Small Building Company Olympia, WA 360-239-0429 gregoryfsmith.com

Since it holds water, are there issues with vapor breathability? I heard of hikers using tyvek to insulate their tents in the winter.=20 Chris. |
