Now I'm picturing myself driving to local glass shop, rust repairs done, windowless, breeze in my remaining hair.... ;)

In my 'yout, I did this string type install *once* on a window on an old Bug. Watching video I would suggest that:

- size of string is crucial. Too small, maybe breaks, cuts rubber. Too big, maybe jams up?

- good helpers whose hands follow you like a cat chasing a shadow as video shows. Person not chasing, keeps pressure on his/her/cats side to keep seal/window in place.

- helpers that know how hard to push or "thump"

Neil. Who would probably do exactly as per above if he found a local shop offering services/warrantee same as "Glass Doctor"
