Oxy-acetylene torch will get the nut loose. Be careful nut to twist/break that threaded rod. Note that nut is rounded to allow the equalizer bar to swivel. Using a die to clean the threads behind the nut will make things easier once some well-placed heat gets to turn.

The nut on the rod that adjusts the parking brake is frozen. I've tried Kroil soaking and heating with a propane torch, but I can;t move it--either tighter or looser.

It looks like a Nylock nut by the shape.

Any suggestions? This is on an '87 Syncro, so the skid rails and prop shaft are in the way.
