Lowes sells a plastic pipe cutter that works great. The tool is in the electrical section & has black handles and what looks like a box knife blade opposite a half moon opening in the other side. You just insert the hose and squeeze. Makes a perfect cut every time.

Hopefully no irate housewives or girlfriends are reading this post.......

I'll be cutting the now-unused coolant hoses that used to go to the ATF cooler on the nose of my transaxle so I can plug them. They're about an inch in diameter and appear to be pretty darn stout. What's a good tool for making a clean cut?
