The extra pull string is definitely a good idea. It was quite a pain (for me anyway) to get something through the right spots.

I used an "electrician's" fish tape from the dome light (with the headliner removed-maybe unnecessarily but it gave me more wiggle room) down to behind the dash. I hade the speedo housing off too to reach in from above. The hard part was making the 90 degree inward turn through the 1-inch or so hole between the inside of the pillar and the mess of wires under the dash. My fat fingers weren't quite long and agile enough to bring the fish through. I just kept bumping my fingers with the fish thinking I was almost done (not even close). Eventually caught it with a bent clothes hanger. Oh yeah...unhook you battery before attempting.

This is where I left it...sitting in the driveway with just the fish tape in the "a" pillar. Just this part was painful enough to call it a success. If I could find a way to get the fish tape to conduct four separate circuits I would. Not sure how it'll go trying to get the four wires (16 ga) back up.

I did see on mcmaster.com that they sell a bundle of four 16ga wires that end up just over a quarter inch diameter. At $1.6? per foot I think it may be a decent price to pay to save my tears for something better.
