Subject: WOOHOO! Took 2nd Place At Manassas Bug Out!!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=utf-8

My '85 Weekender took 2nd place at the Manassas Bug Out yesterday. OK, only TWO water cooled vans were entered in the show, but what the heck. This has never happened to me before, I was the first vehicle on the field on the water cooled side at 7:00 am. I was to meet up with some friends who were running late, and I tried to park my Westy in the usual spot we occupy, but nooooooooooo, I had to go park in the corner, and my HAD to be facing in a certain direction. Really? C'mon. I explained to the staff person that I was going to be moving soon anyway, but it didn't matter. I usually do one Bug Out a year, and this was it, don't think I'll be there on Labor Day. Oh, in my experience it is either 1) rainy or 2) hotter than hell for the Bug Out. The day started out somewhat cool, but ended up hotter than hell by noon.
