I think you want to compare to the POR-15 MetalReady, not the paint. Their prep solution is basically the same as zinc Parkerizing solution (phosphoric acid and zinc phosphate). See the MSDS at http://www.por15info.com/msds/MetalReadyMSDS.pdf
