I can recommend Phosphoric Prep & Etch, made by Klean Strip It's a multi purpose product... Prep metals before painting, it's a rust remover/inhibitor, concrete driveway cleaner & dessert topping!!! he he (SNL skit)

Seriously inexpensive at Home Depot, less than $15 for a lifetime supply.(1 gal.) One of the best solutions in my shop!!!
