In that size tire you should be running XL rated tires. The normal rating for this size is 95, (1521 pounds). The XL brings the rating up to 99, (1709 Pounds). On 16" wheels I like the 225/60's. The slight increase in diameter brings the standard load index to 97 or 98 and XL versions are 102 load index. (1874 pounds)

I'm going to fudge and say 'modernizing' Dixie - bringing her up to date. The 16" x 7" wheels with modern 225/55-16 tires transform the road manners, the Audi A4 front discs make every stop more sure, the sound deadening in the doors and underneath make it much less tiring to drive and the 2.5 litre Subaru engine has given Dixie a huge amount of flexibility. Dixie's still very happy to poop along doing 50 MPH using 2200 RPM in fifth and now she's just as happy to bang along at 75 MPH if you're in a hurry.

I used to really like the package and the possibilities but now I love my van! ;)
