Cut off the butt end of the right size drill bit then clamp with the right size Oetiker clamps. The right size drill bit will be whatever size just slips into the hose end with a little bit of fource.

And, no, I'm not trying to drive business to my store. You should be able to buy 2 of the right size clamps from your local McParts store for less than a dozen from me with freight.

I'm suggesting Oetiker clamps because they clamp into a perfect circle and will never leak unless you have a defect in the hose.

Link is broken.

Found I needed to wrap the bolts with a buttload of TFE tape to create a decent seal. Jury-rigged, would like better solution to plugging unused coolant hoses that formerly went to auto trans ATF cooler.

Liner -- would that be the TFE tape?

Can one find spring hose clamps at a FLAPS?

Thanks, Dennis.
