Not exactly the best thing but best things I guess. I have three vans - two 88 GL's, on 91 Carat. I'm in a restoration mode on all of them. The one getting the most attention is The Red Brick - my red wine colored 88 GL I use for my daily driver. First biggest thing for it was to rescue it from a used car lot out in the country. Not long after I had the engine rebuilt, then a little later the tranny was rebuilt. All of this was followed by a series of events - brakes all around - disks, calipers, pucks, bearings. Then came new CV's and boots, later to be followed by rebuilt PS Rack and PS pump. Replaced flywheel seal twice, along with new clutch. Now working on replacing all the seals and felts around the driver and passenger windows. This van is an on going project to keep it on the road.

The other two vans - a blue 88 GL and the 91 Carat - I rescued after being stored for 10 years. Both needed a lot of TLC, but are in pretty good shape. The Blue 88 GL is currently being fitted with a SA grille. Nexyt tires are next and then it can be put on the road. The Carat still has much to be done. Right had door is apart for power window repair. Needs a new rear bumper.

Both the Blue 88 GL and the Carat needed to have the injustors serviced in order to get them running, so I just had the injectors on all three serviced. All three engines run nicely now. But the Carat still has a surge problem yet to be sorted out.

That is where it's at!

John
