Many areas (pollution attainment) actually have anti-idling laws. My 2004
motorhome was originally programmed to shut the engine off after 5 minutes
of no motion, throttle, or brake. Became annoying in NY traffic as it didn't
respond to not being in neutral. All that computer integration and you could
be in drive, sit in traffic and have the engine shut down. Had that
disabled. Here in downstate NY unless below 25F trucks are only allowed to
idle for 3 minutes.

never thought I'd see these words !! ( anti-idling ) re "The DC 9000 is a
roofmounted air Conditioner for anti-idling applications like trucks and
campers."
Man is that nice ..
some thought to keeping people cool in vehicles without idling the engine ,
particularily diesels !!!
