It took me a year to find and purchase a syncro speedo. $175 to get it
working again may just be your only option. I paid nearly that for a
broken one. Since the syncro gets it's feed from a small plastic gear
in the front diff, which is known to break, and is made of some really
expensive stuff, be sure to test the speedo outside of the car with a
drill.
