The 2.1l won't idle down unless that switch is closed. Tap into the two wires, run a pair up front and stick a small yellow LED from the Radio Shack assortment on it. If you don't get bright yellow with open throttle then it's wrong way around. At full throttle and closed throttle the LED should go out, or nearly. With the light up in the cab you can drive it and see if that's your issue (assuming that you find the cable isn't too tight). If it does need adjusting, come back and talk about it first. It's delicate and expensive and the book procedure isn't sufficient on a worn throttle body. Yrs, d |
