interesting. I like stripper models. Don' see many of them. I once had a bare bones Renault 5 aka Le Car. . seat back angles didn't adjust, no vent windows. rubber mats, never had a radio in it. Went real good though ..named it Zippy. now you're gonna ruin the purity of it with a tach ! ...lol. how many vanagons ya got ? I'm at 13 ...two personal, 5 parts vans and 6 seller vans. what fun. Not sure if this is true for all of them. This '85 Westy Weekender is the most stripped version I have ever seen. No swivels. Didn't even have a radio or antenna.
