Today I started having a weird problem with my 1987 2 wheel drive Wolfburg with factory A/C.

When it is hot outside as it was today and I had the A/C running, when I would have to stop for a traffic light and when it turned green to go, I stepped on the gas and my van would hardly pull it self. No amount of pumping on the gas pedel would help. Once I got it moving, and the faster it went, it finally would take hold and start running great again. When I stoped again for a light, then it would start all over again. One time it died while trying to move and as soon as it started (It started right up) it was fine. I learned that if I shut the enginge off until the light turned green that I would start the engine and did not have the problem.

The fuel filter I replaced a short time ago. It seems to only happen in hot weather and the temp guage it right in the middle. No over heating issues.

any ideas are appreciated as it is a little unsafe with it behaving this way.

Thanks in advance for any information on this.

Chris
