I've taken apart three or four of different make, meant for the
2.1l.  It's got a broad flat base instead of the skinny stick of the
1.9l design  One of the aftermarket ones was potted.  The others were
all similar, tiny little thermistor button with silver-paint ends,
contact made by a strong compression spring.  No seal failures, no
obvious weakness I could see.
