It took me a year to find and purchase a syncro speedo. $175 to get it working again may just be your only option. I paid nearly that for a broken one. Since the syncro gets it's feed from a small plastic gear in the front diff, which is known to break, and is made of some really expensive stuff, be sure to test the speedo outside of the car with a drill.

It should say 1600 on the bottom of the dial instead of 805. Just sayin'. If you end up throwing away your old speedo, don't forget to email me the address for the dumpster.:-) > > > BenT > > sent from my electronic leash > > On Jun 5, 2011, at 5:33 PM, Mike Miller <mwmiller6@ATT.NET> wrote: > >> I wasn't clear about the problem. >> >> The usual problem is that the shaft the odometer spins on falls out at >> one end so the gears don't engage, no odometer. >> >> I had that problem. fixed it several times and on the final time used >> too much glue in the wrong place and the odometer wouldn't turn.
