Wow -- that Samba thread is a heck of a thread. I'm sure I'll find what I need there. What I did here was swap out the analog clock. Along with it was the temp meter and its light, and the fuel gauge. I'll read that whole thread to determine whether there's a good chance that the temp meter/lamp that I swapped in might have brought the blinky light issue with it. It's a hassle to remove the instrument cluster and pull the foil to put my old one in, but sometimes ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Or I could put a piece of black tape over the lamp . . .
