What type of Vanagon and what are you trying to accomplish? If trying to stay with stock outer diameter you will find it even more difficult to find tires with adequate load rating. 205/65-15 would be the correct diameter. You will need a load range C or higher tire in this size. A 215/70-15 will get the load rating but this is now a 27" tire which will effect acceleration and braking.
