I have to admit that I had to make a new skylight knob due to my stupidity a few years ago...
I used some blue locktite on the screw that holds the stock plastic knob on. A week later i went to use it and the knob broke off. I put it down to the old Delta SIx plastic. So I put another knob on (I had a ratty old spare), and again using locktite on the screw, and again the knob broke off. Finally dawned on me that it was excess locktite, squeeze out, that was breaking down the plastic. I made a simple round polyethylene knob then. Now I have a "Gretzky knob" , but to tell the truth, I'd rather have a Zidane version. I might hit my head on it more often though :) alistair
