Notice there's a vanagon in that video that Richard Koerner posted, top popped, at about 2:21 on the video, dwarfed and all but swallowed up by the mamoths....

Yeah, it's north of Ventura....called the Rincon.  Plenty of info to google but here's a site to get you started:

I grew up there.....used to be free, back about 30 years ago.  Actually, it's a very nice beach; go in August/early September when the ocean's warm.
