Don's right that is not Rincon, a spot made somewhat more famous by Tom
Curren, 3 time world champion surfer who used to ditch school and surf the
spot till the sun went down. The place you're referring to is a wee bit
south and is called Faria County Park. Not much of park though, it's
basically a stretch of road with a sea wall that you park next to. Oh and
did I mention that Hwy 101 is a stones throw away? There are a couple of
beaches north of Santa Barbara that are much nicer. Gaviota Beach and
Refugio Beach are so much better places to stay and even Carpinteria State
Beach isn't bad. But if you like "camping" on black top with nothing between
you and the RV next to you Faria Beach is the place to be. But even Faria
can have a nice wave to catch..............
