Hello Friday list; Posting this for a friend. Not for Vanagon, but a domestic 23' rv called a Clarion. A very rare camper, I think there are only 40 members on their yahoo group. Thanks, Chris C     "Looking for a thermostat assembly for our Norcold DE 540 refrigerator.    I found a place online that has a kit updating all the electronics for $400 but I really only need a new thermostat.  I had jumpered the switch wires in the control box and the system cools fine otherwise.     The technician I spoke with said the electronics have has some problems and they redesigned the whole power supply.  The closed cooling system itself is overbuilt and may last forever.  So maybe I should get the kit.    Having a hard time finding just the thermostat assembly online.    Or maybe swap the whole refr for another used one for less money than the kit.  I found a new refr discounted to about $700 somewhere online.   Just don't want to spend any more than I have to.   Any resources for the parts?    By the way, you must slip off door frame rubber seal to get this refrigerator out the entry door.    Tom K Charlotte, NC Clarion #198  "
