I have all the 5 oem VW mounts for the rear window jail bars for my Vanagon
(the four "end" pieces and the longer middle piece).


Is there anything special as far as curves or finish or whatever about the
NLA VW bars that complete the kit or can I just find a supplier of metric
sized aluminum dowels to finish off the kit?
The aluminum rods at my local hardware store are American sizing and without
some tweeking they are a little smaller than the receiving brackets and wold
rattle.


I see in ETKA even when VW offered the bars their note is bars com XXmm long
then "cut to size."
