Subject: South African Transporter and Camper PICTURES
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8

I posted some pictures to Photobucket of VW Transporters (Combis, Caravelles, Microbuses) campers, and a few other vehicles from my recent trip to South Africa . Some have been taken through the windshield, others at dusk, so quality varies, but I thought you would find them interesting nonetheless. You'll see pics from Johannesburg area, Pretoria, and Pilansberg.

You can view them here: http://photobucket.com/misterpolak_SA2011 http://photobucket.com/misterpolak_SA2011

I didn't see as many as I thought I would, so catching one in action was a rare treat.

I found it interesting that quite a few T4s had square headlights, and the I-5 engines varied from 2.3 to 2.6, depending on model year. One owner mentioned that the 2.5 is probably the best of the bunch, in his opinion. Sadly, I could not take Volksiebus home due to luggage restrictions, ahem. -- Chris S.
