Roland, now you have the right idea with your plastic strip. I have tried this using a piece of plastic door edge protector, works just fine until the plastic gives out, so what is needed is a similar piece of nylon or some other hi-teck plastic that I have not found yet. You will have to cut the V-groove in the roller deeper to allow for the extra added height of the track to get the door to sit in its proper location. That is a tricky proposition unless you have a lathe. Let me know if you make any headway on this project.
