This is the temp sensor for the evaporator coil. The capillary tube if you have one is part of the expansion valve. It too senses evaporator temperature and controls refrigerant flow.

I'm reassembling my AC unit (after replacing all hosses). I've discovered a gray wire pair about a foot long, with a plastic coating over the last inch or so, and a plug on the other end. Is this the capillary tube mentioned in Bentley? I see there'e a hole in the cabinet that is supposedly for the capillary tube; does this wire pair poke through the hole and rest on top of the evaporator coils?

Thanks,

Karl Wolz
