I'm totally in favor of fresh air. Since hot stale humid air rises, and cooling refreshing air descends, the obvious solution is an opening vent in the ceiling.  Ideally over the area you sleep & breathe. As for me, I cut a 14" x 14" hole in the roof of my hardtop non-Westy 22 years ago.  Guts it took with that sabre saw.  Installed a generic roof vent (back then they were low profile aluminum that you could paint to match, not the plastic kind I see so much of now; the kind where you twist a knob to open and raise the thing; yes, with a screen, bugs are NOT an option. Immediately rejoiced over the improvement!  So loving it these past 22 years.  You Westy-owners could easily add a second roof vent I think. Fresh air when sleeping and living in a confined space is the solution; how to get it is the problem.  I like to use physics, rarely lets you down. (Surprised that GoWesty doesn't offer some kind of screen solution for them thar cool real sliders...again, I WILL NOT tolerate biting bugs.  Neither should you.) Rich San Diego
