I believe the Westmorland 1.5 Diesel was made in Germany, the Westmorland 1.6 Diesel actually made in Mexico. I say this because I use to sell factory crated turnkey 1.6 Diesels out of my walk-in store in the 80s and VW stickers stated Hecho In Mexico. I had one of these installed in an 81 Rabbit Diesel Truck (Caddy) I owned at the time. By the time this guy is done, they have modern amenities such as PS, AC, color coded interior with leather seats over the stock frames. But then he prices them as much as a new import truck. Surprising to discover people do buy them. > > > BenT > sent from my electronic leash > > On Jun 17, 2011, at 10:04 PM, Stacy Schneider <vwcrewman@GMAIL.COM> wrote: > >> My dad has a westmoreland diesel as well as a Mexican diesel and a German diesel as well. >> >> Boy Scout " Wood Badge " trained. |
