I wouldn't say that's the way to do it. It is possible to convert them to conventional 'flat sealing surface' drain plug style. a jetta drain plug has the right threads pretty sure ..any jetta/golf/rabbit. then you need the flat sealing surface on the outside ....need to create that somehow. and weld the bottom hole closed of course ... that can work. better to hold out for the right drain plug. they're rare to me. scott www.turbovans.com
