Yes, but if Ed continues to heat his drill bits up so much that he  
worries about starting a fire, he is going to be going through a lot  
of metal (and diamonds on the sharpener) sharpening those bits :)

Ed, I hope you bought quality American made (or Australian/UK/Swedish)  

drill bits. Don't buy cheap drill bits, it is a false economy.

Other's have said, good quality drill bits are still the bargains of  
the tool world.
