the OEM TD diesel i used to have (wrecked in 2009)
when i went to get parts for it ... the old timey guys all said just order
parts as if this were an 1983 rabbit ...
it was a TD with a OEM 5 speed and it got 35-38 mpg on road trips and 30
with usual driving around town as a daily driver
the low gear was really really low and the high gear was really really high
great van ...oh well
