I was hoping to take the bulb and light switch out of the equation, so what I did was unhook the driver's dome light completely. I just tested the two wires coming up the A pillar which feed the light (red and brown), of which one ran straight to ground behind the fuse panel and the other ran to the T2c/1 connector which goes on to the radio and stock cig lighter port (I think???)

This is what showed the continuity I'm not sure of, but is that just running through the radio and cig lighter circuit normally or would my worry or a short somewhere with these results be founded?

Thanks, Reid

If I'm reading you right, sounds like the continuity is from the bulb.... if it's still in the socket of the dome light. Edward
