This is strictly a guess: ever since people have started compressing fluids they've been finding out the hard way how penetrable human skin it. A grease gun injury, for example, is a terrible thing that often leads to amputation because the grease dissects in along the muscle fasciae and is near-impossible to retrieve. Brake fluid would I suspect be similarly nasty. Having the boost available could make it more likely for a cutting stream of fluid to come jetting out.
