$350? Wow - I sell parts to the wrong area. I'm happy to get $200 for one around my neck of the woods! $350 buys you a TDI box around here. I actually just stripped a 98 Jetta AHU I paid $600 for delivered to my house. Sold the shell to the scrap man for $175, anyone need an AHU Mk3 tranny? She's getting all new gaskets and being placed in my 83 Westy I procured from Scott. I guess it comes down to supply and demand. I paid under $1000 for my last 3 AHU swaps (complete with harness and ECU!) Diesels are plentiful here in Southern Ontario though. I should start buying motors and crate them up for you guys down south!

On a side note - I've fixed a few AAZ cranks. Lots of work and time. $150 for the machining, $50 for gear and you still have to put it in the motor. I was brave and did one without pulling the motor...Don't ask, I'd not recommend it. For more than 20PSI I recommend drilling and pinning it as well. I broke 4 AAZ motors on 20psi before I bought my first TDI 5 years ago. I haven't looked back since.
