The red wire comes from the always powered side of the fuse/relay panel.
Lots of things are connected to that same side of the panel and those
things use ground also. Measuring the ohms between the red wire and
ground will show the parallel resistance of all those other things and
this will not be infinity or even close. The clock for example is
connected and can't be turned off separately.

You don't quite know what you are doing yet and so much of what you see
will seem wrong to you. We all learn over time, so keep at it and keep
asking questions.
