So is this the ticket for polishing up the plastic headlight lenses on my Passat? What tool would work best to apply the solution evenly?

" Ed, Another good cleaner is baking soda. A paste made with it can serve as a cleaner/polisher for those super fine cleaning and polishing jobs.Fossil preparers and Palentologists often use baking soda in small air tools similar to air brushes to remove just the tiniest bit of surface material - which is what all grits do. It works. BTW - toothpaste applied on the end of a rubber power eraser can be used to grind a hole in glass, should you ever have the need to do so. "
