Subject: Camping with the electric only fridge

Not often I take Lola to the primitive campgrounds, but this upcoming weekend is the exception. Had the trickle charger first on the camping battery, then on the starting battery; today just switched it back over to the camping battery again but it's at full charge. What I'll do tomorrow is load the freezer compartment with Blue Ice, then keep the fridge on max cool while I'm driving to the campground. Then I have to remember to turn the fridge off. This technique works really well. If I drive somewhere, I'll turn the fridge back on, then off again when I stop. Did an entire week one vacation like that.

The weather here in Western Oregon isn't forecast to be too hot this weekend (not going to hit 70, and lower than that on the coast where I'm camping). Been a cool "summer" so far, and I think it's marvelous.
